Night mode and other apps work for some people. However, unless you only use your device in the evening or orange is your favourite colour, this issue is not a viable solution. With Ocushield, you don’t have to turn on software or colour your screen in orange. Our filter blocks harmful blue light while allowing 98% accurate colour. This way, you can be protected day or night without having to choose between colour and protection.
Our team of trained optometrists have created screen protectors for smartphones and tablets that block up to 99% of harmful UV and blue light emissions between 300-400nm and 54% harmful blue light between 400-470nm. This means you are protected from harmful blue light and all its negative side effects like headaches, eye strain, insomnia and premature aging. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Our mobile phone and iPad screen protectors are made of high quality tempered glass to protect both your eyes and screen. As you can imagine, cutting the glass won’t work, so we don’t recommend doing so. Our MacBook and laptop screen filters are plastic and can be cut as needed, but be careful.
Yes, it is removable but please note that once removed if reapplied it may not be flush to the screen.
Yes, glasses will protect you from all devices that emit blue light such as televisions, phone screens, light bulbs, etc.
Unlike other blue light filters, Ocushield doesn’t change your screen to classic orange; it preserves 95% clarity for crystal-clear images. So, unless orange is your favourite colour, you can enjoy blue light protection without any changes to your image.
The average lifespan of an Ocushield screen protector is 2 years, due to daily wear and tear.
There is no evidence that wearing non-magnifying glasses with contact lenses is harmful to eye health. If you still don’t feel comfortable wearing your Ocushield glasses with contact lenses, you can return them for a refund within our 100-day refund period.
Blue light glasses can help users drive at night because they can reduce some of the glare from headlights, street lights, etc.
There is no blur or glare, but there is a blue tint at times. Blue light blocking glasses work by deflecting blue light away from the retina, and they do this by reflecting incident light. This response produces a hint of blue, but only when the light source is directly in front, such as when using a mobile device or laptop. When talking to someone directly, there is no blue colour because the person in front is not the light source.
